As you’ve probably surmised by now, I love a good pair of sunglasses.  I’ve built up quite a selection lately, so I have a ton to choose from when I put the final touches on my outfits, and I’m pretty damn particular about getting it right.  I get a lot of questions thru Instagram about which shades I’m wearing and how to purchase them, so today I thought I’d give you two insider tips on my favorite online shades retailers.

TIP No. 1 ::  I try on a lot of pairs of sunglasses when I’m out shopping, so I can get the fit and style right.  If I find a luxury pair, from brands like Dolce and Gabanna or Prada or even Ray-Ban, I surreptitiously take a pic with my phone, then go home and check the pricing of the same pair at eyeheartshades.com.  They have the best pricing I’ve been able to find on the internet for luxury brands.  Products are 100% authentic, and the service is great.

TIP No. 2 ::  My go-to brand for trendy, inexpensive shades is Spitfire Sunglasses.  They have a HUGE selection of unisex styles, and while they’re not the cheapest sunglasses you can find (around $39 per pair), I think the diversity in design and the consistency in quality justifies the higher price.  The stand-outs for me are the styles with mirrored lenses because I can get just about every color imaginable.  They’re fun, they make a statement, they’re the right blend of wacky and retro.  Like something Hunter S. Thompson would wear if he were taking a ride on the space shuttle.
