Beds and Threads at the Room Mate Grace Hotel, NYC

It’s rare that a photo shoot comes together in such a way that I can truly show all the different sides of my personality.  I’m just as comfortable in streetwear as I am in formalwear, and while this might not be the best selling point as a style blogger (“Get a niche!”  “Don’t stray from it!”  “Consistency is key!”), it’s true and authentic to who I am.  So today I am posting a shoot I did with the exceptionally talented Sebastian Pilch at the exceptionally cool Room Mate Grace Hotel in NYC, where I have been staying the past few days while I run the streets for Fashion Week.  The variety of decors at the Grace allowed me to express some different moods and looks, from a James Bond tux against the animal print walls in the lounge and pool area to a quiet moment in a sunny window with a view onto the bustling Times Square area.  It was the perfect place to unwind after a loooong day of shoots and meetings, since as you can see from the pictures, the bed just screamed lush and regal and big fat comfortable, and the shower was honestly bigger than most bedrooms in Paris (my obsession with showers knows no bounds)!  We shot during the day so we couldn’t really capture the party vibe that was going on each night at the Grace (not that I missed it… if you’re watching my Snapchats, you saw that my friends and I took full advantage of it).  Also, the breakfast buffet made getting up worth the while, even after a night of going ham with my crew. It’s been an awesome trip to NYC, and I have lots more posts coming up about my trip, the Art Institutes Fashion Show, a shoot with designer Zenia de Sousa, more street style looks, and an unbelievable spa experience at the L.Raphael spa at the Four Seasons.  Yeah, I’ve been busy…
