I’m back in Paris now, and the sky is gray and the weather is bitter cold. Leo talked about global warming in his Oscar acceptance speech but we’re not feeling it here. Of course, the French are all about grabbing a hot wine and a hot girl to brave the winter, so who am I to complain? Romance in this city never sleeps, and everyone is expected to play their parts on the streets, so it’s not that hard to make two complete strangers taking photos in front of the Eiffel Tower look like a postcard for sale in the States. Which is what we were for this shoot, two strangers (and a photographer) portraying your typical French couple walking around Paris, dashingly dressed, and most likely, arguing on the way home about whether or not I looked at another woman along the way 😉 We went straight-up classic French style, a gray suit and white button-down for me and an LBD for my stand-in girlfriend, fashion stylist Lea Guy.
The 40mm Chronograph I am wearing, from the Renard Grande Collection, has white and gold details that create a subtle contrast with the black dial. The polished bezel and brushed lugs give a nice balance to the gold tones of the gold case. The women’s watch is their Elite Rose Gold Link featuring a case of just 25.5 millimeters in diameter, a vertically brushed dial and slightly domed mineral glass. The slim, stainless steel link bracelet makes it a timepiece that adds elegance and femininity to every outfit.
As a special gift to all my fans, Renard is offering 15% off any purchase when you enter sagegoldnik at checkout.
