As many of you know, I was “home” for a few days to shoot with the game-changing new Polo S watch from Piaget.  It seemed the likely location for this shoot since Paris is really what changed my game in the first place.  My photographer, Jonathan Jones (who has become more like family than just the talent behind the camera), and I spent six days going to all my favorite places, trying to avoid the constant drizzle and masses of people, and showing you some styles I wear when I’m in Paris. While we were there, a friend from Paris offered us a private tour and photo shoot at the Château de Ferrières, the 19th century home of Baron James de Rothschild which has recently been restored and currently houses one of the finest culinary schools in France.  It seemed the perfect place to show off the Polo S, since both the chateau and watch are classic examples of timeless elegance but with a modern twist that makes them totally relevant to today’s lifestyle.  On my private tour, I learned that the chateau had quite an illustrious past, from months-long masquerade parties hosted by David Bowie and Freddy Mercury to Beyonce video shoots, from Rothschild soirees attended by Brigitte Bardot, Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn to German occupations.  With my suit on and the Piaget Polo S on my arm and the whole chateau to myself, it was the first time I could ever truly imagine what it felt like to be part of the French aristocracy.  Needless to say, it was very, very hard to leave…

My many thanks to GQ and Piaget for partnering on this trip.
